IF PELOSI USES THE SLAUGHTER RULE SHE VIOLATES HER OATH OF OFFICE

If  the Speaker of the house who acts like she is Marie Antoinette, Ms.Pelosi, invokes the Slaughter rule to by- pass a vote on the Senate passed Health Care bill, which it appears she may do to avoid a negative result. She will not only be violating her oath of office, that says she will protect and defend the Constitution, but she will be violating two provisions of the Constitution, which will effectively make what the house is trying to do illgal, If this b#st*ard bill reaches the desk of the president, Obama will be duty bound by his oath of office to declaure the bill null and send it back to the House without his signature!

It has been pointed out in several venues in the past few days, Article 1 Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution requires that before a bill becomes law, (1) “Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it”; (2)“… in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively.”

It is those two provisions of the Constitution that would be evaded: (1) The House vote with the names and votes of the individual members publicly published and (2) the president’s signature. That is James Madison’s precise, 18th-century version of transparency and accountability.

The Slaughter rule has no legal precedent for the House to pass a bill without a direct vote by using a budget reconciliation measure as a trigger and a means to pass ObamaCare.  Nancy Pelosi’s potentially unconstitutional strategy to pass unconstitutional ObamaCare is without precedent nor justification.

The Wall Street Journal has a piece today that critiques the Pelosi strategy, the “Slaughter Rule,” that is being considered to pass ObamaCare.

“We’re not sure American schools teach civics any more, but once upon a time they taught that under the U.S. Constitution a bill had to pass both the House and Senate to become law. Until this week, that is, when Speaker Nancy Pelosi is moving to merely “deem” that the House has passed the Senate health-care bill and then send it to President Obama to sign anyway.   Under the “reconciliation” process that began yesterday afternoon, the House is supposed to approve the Senate’s Christmas Eve bill and then use “sidecar” amendments to fix the things it doesn’t like. Those amendments would then go to the Senate under rules that would let Democrats pass them while avoiding the ordinary 60-vote threshold for passing major legislation. This alone is an abuse of traditional Senate process”

The constitututional principle being violated here is known as the “nondelegation doctrine.” By saying two contradictory things at the same time, the House would be delegating its power to the Senate and the White House, allowing the latter to pick which meaning they like best.

Congress could use the same approach to allow a line-item veto, by passing a thousand budgets instead of one, and letting the President pick whichever one he likes best.  And that would also violate the nondelegation doctrine.

Every Order, Resolution, or Vote to which the Concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of Adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the Same shall take Effect, shall be approved by him…

So, if the House votes on two bills at once, the President must approve that vote “before the same shall take effect,” because the vote at least partially requires the Senate’s concurrence.  The President cannot pick and choose which part of the House vote to approve, and the House vote cannot have any effect unless the President approves it.

IT IS TIME TO STOP TALKING AND VOTE!

We have listened to the Liar in chief try to convince a gullible American public that the government has to take over one  sixth of rhe USA economy to “fix” a health care system that 80% of Americans who have health care coverage, like the system they have. This is the equivalent of the total economy of a country like France or Germany! It is a naked power grab that progressive leftists are attempting to ram down Americans throats despite the fact that a majority of US do not want what the Obama sycophants are pushing!

Obama has spent more time on this power grab then he has to fix the number one problem in the USA, unemployment and a growing National debt! Today once again he is using an anecdotal story to try to tug at peoples heart instead of talking about the facts that this bill is not acceptable to all the Democrats or else they would have passed it months ago. He continually demonizing the Republicans as the party of no, but anyone who watched the Blair House “summit” know this is just another lie that Obama has been spinning for over a year.

The Republicans have offered alternative to the Democrats socialization of a major portion of our economy, but all suggestions have been rejected.

It is time to call for a vote in the House of Representatives, and stop the arm twisting and deals that the Democrats have been doing to convince the Democrats who believe this bill is bad for the past year! I call on the Republicans to call for a vote now, not after the president has given “one last speech” to try to sell his socialization of the best medical care in the world!

CAN THE USA BE FAR BEHIND THE CHAOS IN GREECE?

The recession and the ongoing jobless recovery devastated much of the private-sector work force last year, sending unemployment soaring, but government workers emerged essentially unscathed, according to data released Wednesday by the Labor Department.

Meanwhile, the compensation for state and local government employees continued to easily outdistanced the wages and benefits for workers in private business, a separate Labor Department report showed.

Private-industry employers spent an average of $27.42 per hour worked for total employee compensation in December, while total compensation costs for state and local government workers averaged $39.60 per hour.

The average government wage and salary per hour of $26.11 was 35 percent higher than the average wage and salary of $19.41 per hour in the private sector. But the percentage difference in benefits was much higher. Benefits for state and local workers averaged $13.49 per hour, nearly 70 percent higher than the $8 per hour in benefits paid by private businesses.

While the Congress egged on by Obama and his sycophants of the USA spends money that we do not have, and piles up a National debt never before seen in the USA for its magnitude. Across the Ocean in Greece the Unions are rioting because the government that they work for wants to avoid default on their enormous deficit loans to the European Union.

Greece is a Socialist country that employes most of the people who have jobs and the government has run out of money because of the high labor costs and benefits. As a result the people are taking to the streets and rioting over the proposed cuts in wages and benefits.

Street clashes broke out between rioting youths and police in central Athens today as tens of thousands demonstrated during a nationwide strike against the cash-strapped government.

Hundreds of masked and hooded youths punched and kicked motorcycle police, knocking several off their bikes, as police responded with volleys of tear gas and stun grenades.

The violence spread after the end of the march to a nearby square, where police faced off with stone-throwing anarchists and suffocating clouds of tear gas sent patrons scurrying from open-air cafes.

State hospitals were left with emergency staff only and all news broadcasts were suspended as workers walked off the job for 24 hours to protest spending cuts and tax hikes designed to tackle the country’s debt crisis.

Riot police made heavy use of tear gas during the start-and-stop clashes throughout the demonstration, including outside Parliament.

Strikers and protesters banged drums and chanted slogans such as ‘no sacrifice for plutocracy,’ and ‘real jobs, higher pay.’

People draped banners from apartment buildings reading: ‘No more sacrifices, war against war.

The demonstrators included hundreds of black-clad anarchists in crash helmets and ski masks, who repeatedly taunted and attacked riot police with stones and petrol bombs, at one point spraying officers with brown paint.

Fears of a Greek default have undermined the euro for all 16 countries that share it, putting the Greek government under intense European Union pressure to quickly show fiscal improvement.

It has announced a raft of savings through public sector salary cuts, hiring and pension freezes and consumer tax hikes to deal with its ballooning deficit, but the measures have led to a new wave of labor discontent.

The cutbacks, added to a previous austerity plan, seek to reduce the country’s budget deficit from 12.7 percent of annual output to 8.7 percent this year. The long-term target is to bring overspending below the EU ceiling of 3 percent of GDP in 2012.

The new plan sparked a wave of strikes and protests from labour unions whose reaction to the initial austerity measures had been muted.

Ghosts of Nazi Germany raise their Ugly Heads

In the 1930’s Germans were mandated to have an identity card . Some had the identifying mark of Judaism to set them aside from the Arian German.

Now 80 years later when such bastions of freedom as Cambodia,China, Indonesia, Rwanda, Turkey and Bhutan have identity cards, two American Senators are proposing a law to require all American workers to have a biometric identity card.

Senator Schumer and Senator are crafting a law that would require all workers to have this card. They say it will help the illegal alien problem, but I suspect more nefarious reasons behind their proposal!This was instituted in the United Kingdom in 2006 when they began a program of biometric ID cards for its citizens. In 2006 the estimated cost to set-up the card program and run it for ten years was 5.4 billion pounds. That is 8.1 billion dollars in USA green backs give or take a few million!

Schumer and Graham believe this is the way to prevent employers from hiring illegal immigrants: a national biometric identification card all American workers would eventually be required to obtain.

Under the potentially controversial plan still taking shape in the Senate, all legal U.S. workers, including citizens and immigrants, would be issued an ID card with embedded information, such as fingerprints, to tie the card to the worker.

If this is not an issue that the ACLU and a Human Rights organizations does not jump on with both feet. I will be greatly disappointed. If you thought the Patriot Act was a diminishing of our freedoms(I do not) then this idea should make the hair on your neck stand up!

The only time Americans had to wear identity cards was during World War II when Japanese Americans were interred and had to wear tags that bore their name. An infamous time in our history that should never be allowed to happen again. If they (the Senators) really wanted to stop illegal immigration they would support strengthening  our border patrol agency and deport more illegals.

Obama says he wants to fix the health care problem, but what if we get this!

A hospital patient, Kane Gorny, died of dehydration after becoming so desperate for a drink of water that he called police for help.

The 22-year-old was not given vital medication after an operation at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, south London, according to his mother. A coroner has such grave concerns about the case that it has been referred to police who are investigating Mr Gorny’s care.

 Gorny, from Balham, was diagnosed with a brain tumour the year before his death, according to a report in the Daily Mail. Treatment caused his bones to weaken and he was admitted to the hospital for a hip replacement in May 2009. His mother, Rita Cronin, says he needed drugs three times a day to regulate his hormones, but he was not given them by hospital staff. She said he became very dehydrated but his requests for water were refused and nurses called in security guards to restrain him when he became angry.

He became so frustrated that he rang the police from his bed to demand their help but officers were assured Mr Gorny was fine. She said nurses assumed he was just badly behaved. Mr Gorny’s cause of death was determined to be dehydration. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating the death of Kane Gorny at St George’s Hospital after this was referred to us by Westminster Coroner’s Court.”

And on the 5th of March, 2010 this story was reported in the London Telegraph.

The Oxford Radcliffe Trust has suspended all children’s heart surgery after the death of four children in the last four months.

An investigation has been launched and urgent cases awaiting surgery are being sent elsewhere.

Iis not yet clear if there are any common factors in the cases and all aspects of their care will be investigated.

Experts said it could be ‘just a run of terrible luck’ but that it was right to stop and review procedures.

Cardiac surgery at the trust has been dogged with concerns over mortality rates for years and has a reputation for taking on high risk cases.

Reports going back as far as 2000 criticised the leadership of the consultant cardiothoracic surgeons and their working relationships.

Then in 2004 a study in the British Medical Journal warned that mortality rates in paediatric cardiac surgery were higher than the national average, however a review of the service found the data was inaccurate.

The health regulator was brought in and found no concern in paediatric surgery but found a series of other problems including that surgeons were still not working well together.

The Healthcare Commission found in 2007 that the trust did operate on high risk patients and that the mortality rates among adults having bypass surgery were higher than average although were still within expected limits. Do we want this to happen here in gthe USA? Stop Obama Care NOW!!!

WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR AMERICANS IF OBAMA HAS HIS WAY!

What’s happening in the developed world today isn’t so very hard to understand: The 20th-century Bismarckian welfare state has run out of people to stick it to. In America, the feckless, insatiable boobs in Washington, Sacramento, Albany, and elsewhere are screwing over our kids and grandkids. In Europe, they’ve reached the next stage in social-democratic evolution: There are no kids or grandkids to screw over. The United States has a fertility rate of around 2.1 — or just over two kids per couple. Greece has a fertility rate of about 1.3: Ten grandparents have six kids, AND  have four grandkids — ie, the FAMILY TREE is upside down. demographers call 1.3 “lowest-low” fertility — the point from which no society has ever recovered. And, compared to Spain and Italy, Greece has the least worst fertility rate in Mediterranean Europe.

So you can’t borrow against the future because, in the most basic sense, you don’t have one. Greeks in the public sector retire at 58, which sounds great. But, when ten grandparents have four grandchildren, who pays for you to spend the last third of your adult life loafing around?
But borrowing is not the only culprit in this debacle we face.

President Gerald Ford said:”A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have.” Which is true enough. But there’s an intermediate stage: A government big enough to give you everything you want isn’t big enough to get you to give any of it back!” In other words “You cannot shoot Santa Claus”!

Abortion is the reason why the Americans and European have less children entering into the work force than is necessary to pay the taxes to support the welfare state that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their minions want to establish in this country.

The Center For Bio-Ethical Reform lists the following statistics. There are approximately 42 Million abortions performed each year world-wide. That equates to  115,000 per day!

In the USA that figure is 1.3 million  as of 1996, or 3700 per day. If  these statistics are correct it means we here in American have reduced the future tax paying pool by at least 18 million in the last 14 years while Americans are entering the Social Security age at a rapid rate.

Not to mention the morality issue of this genocidal practice. That is too me very important! It has reduced the pool of tax payers that Obama and his Leftist followers want to pay for the power grab that he and his “comrades” are trying to ram down our throats! Obama Care and Tax and Trade!

 52% of women obtaining abortions in the U.S. are younger than 25: Women aged 20-24 obtain 32% of all abortions; Teenagers obtain 20% and girls under 15 account for 1.2%.

While white women obtain 60% of all abortions, their abortion rate is well below that of minority women. Black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are roughly 2 times as likely.to have an abortion! 

 The problem is there are never enough of “the rich” to fund the entitlement state, because in the end it disincentivizes everything from wealth creation to self-reliance to the basic survival instinct, as represented by the fertility rate. In Greece, they’ve run out Greeks,and ut will not be long if Obama has his way, that the USA is in the same boat going over the falls of bankruptcy while the dependency class cries for more! THE CIRCUS COMES TO CONGRESS

I stopped watching Congressional hearings because I came away from those I did watch with the feeling that the Congressional questions were posed to elicit a personal animus towards a particular issue or just asinine statements from Congressman who wanted to impress their constituents back home how smart they were.

But today I was compelled to watched briefly the Congressional hearing of the Toyota USA president regarding safety issues. I was particularly interested in as much as there have been only 19 deaths in 10 years due to malfunctioning Toyota’s. That is less than 1.9 per year.

When you consider that According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration there are about 43,000 people killed in fatal car accidents each year in the United States. Roughly, 40 percent of the fatal crashes are alcohol-related. In addition to fatal accidents, about 2.9 million people are injured each year. It seems like a waste of tax payers money to hold hearings about a malfunctioning accelerator pedal. But when I learned that the Chairman of the committee was from Michigan and the inquisitor when I turned on the television was Congressman Dingle also from Michigan. I realized what is really going on here.

Toyota has been selling safe efficient cars that are moderately priced for over 25 years. Now this hearing is called because of 19 deaths? I think 19 deaths are tragic, but if the 2 witnesses that testified today are any example of the problem. The hearing should be adjourned!

The lady and her husband told a horror story of her Lexus suddenly accelerating to 100 miles an hour despite her putting the car in reverse and other attempts to slow the car down, but after six minutes it slowed down! Had she just turned the key off or put the car in neutral it would slow the car down rapidly! I do not question the lady’s statement, but I do question her ability to handle an unfortunate occurence. And if the car allowed her to put the car in reverse at 100 miles an hour why did the transmission not self destruct?

It is apparent to me that this is just a Democrat “witch hunt” to demonize the Japanese car maker, and to benefit those who make GM and Chryslers autos back in Michigan. The Auto Workers Union might as well conduct the hearings! 

The Congress would better serve the public if they looked into the deaths cause by the EPA forcing auto makers to substitute fiberglass and plastic for steel to obtain the miles per gallon dictated by the Federal government. The picture I have enclosed is a lot more of a problem. When a car made with plastic and fiberglass is hit head on by a made of steel semi-teailer truck!

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT PUT MARINES IN HARMS WAY!

FIGHTING A WAR WITH ONE HAND TIED BEHIND YOUR BACK

The media headlines highlight the resistance that the  U.S.Marines are having taking the stronghold of the Taliban, Marjah. US officers from Bravo Company 1st Battalion 6th Marine told The Times that the fighting on the first day had been as intense as any the unit faced during the infamous clearance of Fallujah in Iraq in 2004.

The skill displayed by Taleban insurgents showed high levels of tactical awareness and training — including “walking” mortar fire on to the Marines and persistent and accurate sniper fire.

But despite the skill of the “insurgents” skill the U.S.Marines are handicapped by the Defense Departments new rules of engagement, that I think puts them at an even greater risk of death than the skill of the enemy.

US Marines said they are constrained by strict new rules of engagement that make their task more dangerous. Under the rules, troops cannot fire at people unless they commit a hostile act or show intent.

Corporal Travis Anderson, 20, from Iowa, said his platoon had repeatedly seen Afghan fighters dropping their guns into ditches before melting away into the civilian population.

“It’s hard to fight a war like this,” he said. “They’re using our rules of engagement against us.”

The US troops leading Operation Moshtarak (Togetherness) twice tried to capture the town’s central bazaar only to be pushed back by well organised insurgents. Coming under heavy fire and sniper attacks, and confronted by booby-trapped buildings, the US Marines were forced to call in Harrier jets and attack helicopters armed with Hellfire missiles. I wonder if they have to receive enemy fire before they come to the aid of the ground troops?

It seems to me that the new rules of engagement are to fight but not win the war! If they really wanted to win this battle the force commander would send out scout teams eo identify the buildings that housed the enemy force, and sent in the Hellfires in before they sent the Marines into a “killing field”.

And it is criminal to send our brave volunteer soldiers and marines into harms way with the new “rules of engagement”! This should be revoked before the morale of those we depend on is destroyed.

WOULD OBAMA SELECT A MUSLIM BIGOT?

Radical homosexual anti-Catholic bigot Harry Knox was appointed to the Advisory Council on Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnership despite his numerous statements that indicate that he is a bigot who hates the Catholic Church.

My question is would Obama appoint a man or woman to a council that is supposed to be a unifying group of neighborhood and church advocates if he/she were a openly anti- Muslim bigot?

The appointment of this man is an outrage and an insult to the millions of Catholics who, by the way 58% voted for Obama in the presidential election!

His statement that the “Pope is hurting people in the name of Jesus”, and then acknowledging that he stands behind the statement during a press conference at the National Press Club on Tuesday. CNSNews.com asked Knox, “You put out a statement saying Pope Benedict XVI was—quote—‘hurting people in the name of Jesus’ because he did not support promoting the use of condoms as a means to control the spread of HIV.  And I was wondering, do you still believe the pope’s position on condoms is ‘hurting people in the name of Jesus’?”

In a follow-up question, CNSNews.com asked Knox:  “So, even in light of—Edward Green, a Harvard researcher in AIDS prevention said the pope was correct in that condom use aggravates HIV, the spread of it, in Africa.  So, in light of that statement, do you still hold to that position?
 
Knox answered, “He is simply incorrect in his assertion.  All the other evidence of science shows otherwise.”
 
On March 17, 2009, Pope Benedict flew to Africa to visit Cameroon and Angola. During the flight, he answered several questions from reporters, including one concerning AIDS in Africa: Given that the Catholic Church’s position in fighting AIDS “is often considered unrealistic and ineffective,” would the pope “address this theme during the journey?”
 
Pope Benedict gave a lengthy response, detailing many of the Church’s humanitarian efforts to help people with AIDS in Africa. “I would say that this problem of AIDS cannot be overcome merely with money, necessary though it is,” he said. “If there is no human dimension, if Africans do not help [by responsible behavior], the problem cannot be overcome by the distribution of prophylactics: on the contrary, they increase it.”
 
In response to the pope’s remarks, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) issued a statement. It quoted Harry Knox as follows: “The Pope’s statement that condoms don’t help control the spread of HIV, but rather condoms increase infection rates, is hurting people in the name of Jesus.”

Senior Harvard AIDS Prevention Researcher Edward Green, who describes himself as a liberal, says that science backs the pope’s message.
 
“We just cannot find an association between more condom use and lower HIV-reduction rates” in Africa, Green told the Catholic News Agency in March 2009. The news agency further reported: “According to Green, the Catholic Church should continue to ‘do what it is already doing,’ avoid ‘arguing about the diameter of viruses’ and cite scientific evidence in connection with scripture and moral theology.” 
As to the real motivation behind Mr. Knox’s statement. Perhaps the statement that follows will show you what his real agenda is all about.

“Harry Knox spoke with CNSNews.com at a press conference about the “American Prayer Hour,” a new, multi-city event designed to “affirm inclusive values and call on all nations, including Uganda, to decriminalize the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.” He is an advocate of gay and lesbian rights!

The Catholic church is one of the largest Charity organisations in the world, and respond to all disasters no matter where or what the people involved ,affected by the disaster, have as their faith or lack of faith. To call the head of a church a man who is deliberately hurting people because of his belief is tantamount to calling all Muslims terrorists because some radical fanatics are Muslims. This would not be tolerated, and should not be overlooked by the Press and the media. This man should be removed from his position because of his hate speech and disruptive nature of a group that is dedicated to unity!

 In addition to advising President Obama on the government’s Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnership programs, Knox is the director of the religion and faith program at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a homosexual activist group.

THE TWO FACES OF OBAMA REGARDING JUSTICE

The headlines on November 30, 2009 were all about the terrorist who was captured, but had a bloody lip and was alleging that the Navy Seals that captured him caused it by punching him in the face.

The following is the lead story that appeared on the internet 11.30/09.

"Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges." source: FoxNews.com.

Lt. Col. Holly Silkman, spokeswoman for the special operations component of U.S. Central Command, confirmed Tuesday to FoxNews.com that three SEALs have been charged in connection with the capture of a detainee. She said their court-martial is scheduled for January! 

The charges stem from an alleged assault after the SEALs captured Ahmed Hashim Abed in early September. Abed is believed to be connected to the killings of four Blackwater security guards who were protecting a convoy when they were attacked by Iraqi insurgents. Their burned corpses were dragged through the city, and two of them were hung from a bridge over the Euphrates River.

On December 26th the folowing story appeared in the internet news.

“Shortly after noon on Christmas, federal agents were notified that Northwest Airlines flight 253 had arrived at the Detroit airport from Amsterdam, with a passenger who had lit an explosive device on the aircraft.

After being restrained and stripped bare by fellow passengers and crew, Abdulmutallab was handed over to Customs and Border Protection officers and local police. He was then taken into cutody and because the failed bomb had burned him the terrorist was taken to a hospital for treatment.

FBI agents from the Detroit bureau arrived at the hospital around 2:15 p.m., and were briefed by the Customs agents and officers as Abdulmutallab received medical treatment.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., FBI agents began interviewing the suspect in his hospital room, joined by a CBP officer and an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.

The suspect spoke openly, said one official, talking in detail about what he’d done and the planning that went into the attack. Other counterterrorism officials speaking on condition of anonymity said it was during this questioning that he admitted he had been trained and instructed in the plot by Al Qaeda operatives in Yemen.

The interview lasted about 50 minutes. Before they decided to give the terrorist his Miranda warnings providing his right to remain silent. I will note here that as a foreign national attempting to commit an act of war against America by blowing up the plane and killing at least 290 people he was not entitled to the Miranda rights according to our Constitution! But the Obama administartion choose to give more rights to terrorists than to our own Navy Seals!

Since the attempted bombing, several prominent lawmakers have argued he should have been placed immediately in military custody, and the nation’s top intelligence official said he should have been questioned by a special group of terror investigators, rather than the FBI agents who responded to the scene.

At some point Obama could have stepped in to this SEAL debacle and dismissed the charges against the brave Navy Seals who had captured a known terrorist leader and deserved a medal not a Court Martial! But he choose not to do this. He (OBMA) ordered the Attorney General  to give the captured “terrorist five” a trial in New York City  in a Civil Trial instaed of being tried by a Military Court as they should be tried as terrorists. 

It is news worthy to note at this time that Al Qaeda has a training manual. In this training manual that was released by the U.S. Justice Department, it says, “Members must complain, Al Qaeda members, of torture and mistreatment inflicted on them if they’re captured.” It’s part of their training. And why   they would take the word of a murdering terrorist over our Navy SEALs, which is the best of the best. It just doesn’t make any sense to me!

Congressional lawmakers are seeking a reprieve for the  three Navy SEALs facing court-martial because one allegedly punched a suspect in an ambush killing of U.S. contractors in Iraq.

Rather than accept a reprimand, the sailors chose to fight the charges in a military court. Their appeal greatly raises the stakes because a guilty finding could bring stiff punishment.

A letter ongressman Hunter is circulating in the House said prosecuting the three SEALs “seems to us to be an overreaction by the command.”

Hunter, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, said the men could face loss of rank, up to one year of confinement, a bad conduct discharge and forfeiture of a portion of their pay each month for up to a year.

About 20 lawmakers have signed the letter to Gates, including House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. The letter was delivered, but I believe the letter should have been addressed to Obama. Holder takes his orders from the President!.

The plight of the three men seems to be gaining attention on Capitol Hill. On Wednesday, Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., sent a similar letter to Gates, asking the secretary to give the case his personal attention. He said it appeared to him that highly skilled personnel have been removed from the war effort “due to a fat lip and some slanderous allegations by one of the most-wanted individuals in Iraq.”

“The Navy SEALs could have been slapped on the wrist for this — unfairly then, too. But they said, ‘We want to let the facts be known. This is baloney that we’re being tried for this at all,”‘ Hunter said. I agree, but it never should have happened and only could happen in an enviroment that has animus for the military as does the Obama administartion!

OBAMA WAS WRONG TO TARGET SUPREME COURT

As usual Obama blamed past President Bush at least eight times, by my count, during his defiant and disorganized  speech last night. And he lied to the Congress and the viewing public by claiming he saved 2 million jobs while unemployment went up by more than 3 million jobs lost during his “reign” as POTUS! But then who can refute him or prove that he was correct?

 But he reserved the “kill shot ” for the Supreme Court whom were sitting right in front of him. He made history in an infamous way by attacking the Supreme Court for their decision in Citizens United vs FEC. I have listened to all presidents since FDR, give State of the Union Speeches and never have I saw or heard an attack on the Supreme Court by a sitting President!

Last night in his State of the Union speech Obama  engaged in demagoguery of the worst kind, when he claimed that last week’s Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v. FEC, “open[ed] the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities.”
The president’s statement is false.

The Supreme Court held that 2 U.S.C. Section 441a, which prohibits all corporate political spending, is unconstitutional. Foreign nationals, specifically defined to include foreign corporations, are prohibiting from making “a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State or local election” under 2 U.S.C. Section 441e, which was not at issue in the case. Foreign corporations are also prohibited, under 2 U.S.C. 441e, from making any contribution or donation to any committee of any political party, and they prohibited from making any “expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement for an electioneering communication… .”

The appointment of Mr. Plouffe to the Quasi White House staff to FIGHT the voting public that has rejected the Obama medical disorganization and power grab. Harkens back to the heady days of Obama’s campaign for the presidency. Mr. Plouffe ran his campaign with the theme that he (OBAMA) would change hings in Washington for the better. His message was that if we  electeded Obama  we would have a more transparent government and the failing economy would get fixed, unemployment would be reduced and the profligate spending of George Bush would stop.

Those of us who have at least half their brain cells working realize that it was all lies, and a gullible public took a bite of the apple that Obama and his Chicago gang were offering to us to swallow.

But after one year of spending out of control and close door deals made to secure the votes to attempt to pass the Obamacare Bill. American has awakened and we realize that we voted for a “pig in a polk”!

Obama is a revisionist socialist who wants to destroy the free enterprise system of capitalism and replace it with cradle to grave socialism. New Jersey, Virginia and now Massachusetts have rejected Obama’s “package” of socialism and sent a loud and clear message to the congress and the White House that more of the same will befall on them in November if they fail to get the message sent by the “TEA BAGGERS, and the bible toting gun lovers who drive trucks”.

But what are the first words out of Obama and his hand-picked leader tolead Democrats to victory in November. FIGHT! This sounds more like somebody in a street fight than a politician trying to win an election based on the principles that have three times been rejected by the voters in overwhelming numbers as they did in Mass. As Michael Bare said today in the Patriot Post,” In a race where the Republican promised to be the decisive vote to kill the Democrats’ health care bills, working class and minority voters did not rally to save the Democrats by electing Coakley They overwhelming voted against the Obama endorsed candidate and sent the man whose main promise was he would vote against Obamacare!!.

“Instead of fearing what may happen, let’s prove that we have more than just the brains to govern—that we have the guts to govern. Let’s fight like hell,” Mr. Plouffe wrote, striking the same chord Mr. Obama did at a town-hall meeting in Ohio Friday and likely will Wednesday in his first State of the Union address.

I hope Mr.Plouffe trys to use the same message he used to fool the voters last November. They will throw it back in his face with a Tsunami of votes to decimate the Democrats hold on Congress.

Americans are tired of being lied to and now you cannot blame Bush for the unemployment being as high as 17 % in many states. It is the Democrats load to carry now after one year of spending on failed policies!

And if the Democrats do not realize the message not the messenger is the problem they are truly insane and have a death wish!

OBAMA’S SPEAKS DOUBLE TALK AGAIN!

In his weekly radio and Internet message Obama said that the 5-4 decision of the Supreme Court  easing limits on political donations by corporations and unions, was unacceptable.

“This ruling opens the floodgates for an unlimited amount of special interest money into our democracy,” the president said. “It gives the special interest lobbyists new leverage to spend millions on advertising to persuade elected officials to vote their way — or to punish those who don’t.”

Obama said that means public servants who stand up to Wall Street banks, oil companies, health insurers and other powerful interests could find themselves under attack when election time rolls around.

First of all the characterizations that I would use to describe the Government employees is not “public servants”! They are not servants in any way you slice it!

A servant does the bid of his master, and we the voters are the supposed master of the government. We voted them into office, and most if not all government jobs are subject to political patronage even to the local level of township government.

This past year, and it seems longer than a year. The Democrats and the White House have acted like we are the serfs and they are the landholders who can do whatever they decide is best for them and we just have to take it without recourse.

Of course Virginia, New Jersey and now Massachusetts have sent a message to the White House and Congress that we the voters will not allow the Federal government to spoon feed a lot of government bovine excrement that gives the government more power over our lives!

Unfortunately Obama refuses to get the message. He is such a progressive, left-wing ideolog that he protests and wants to over ride the Supreme Court decision in this instance only! This is because as it stands now Unions  and leftist special interest groups like George Soros can give unlimited millions to re-elect him. If he accepts the decision the curtain will come down on him and his Left wingnut friends from Chicago in 2010!

TRUCKERS WIN! OBAMA LOSES AGAIN!

Obama failed to persuade the Olympic committee to hold the games in Chicago, he failed in Copenhagen to convince the elites from foreign countries to pass a binding resolution on Climate Control. and now his attempt to help Ms. Coakley win the senate seat in Mass. he stuck out again.

The seat that the Democrats called Kennedy’s seat is now in the hands of a man who campaigned against OBAMANATION health care–and won by a convincing five points despite Obama putting his prestige(what ever is left of it) on the line for Coakley. The Mass. voters sent a message to the President, but I doubt he will open it much less read it and react to it favorably.

This President is a dedicated progressive that will ask all Democrats to “fall on their Swords” for his piece of legislation that will give control over American lives to the government in matters that reach far beyond the doctor patient relationship. And will cost a outrageous trillion dollars in taxes and yet leave at least 12.5 million people uninsured!!

We can only hope and pray to GOD that enough Democrats get the message that was sent loud and clear to the White House and Congress that the people whom the elite in Washington call “teabaggers, bible toting, gun lovers that drive trucks”sent to Washington in the election of Senator-elect Brown.

If they do not respond by denying Obama his giant step toward Marxism and the destruction of  free market capitalism. There will be a Tsunami coming in November that will wash away all  who ignore the message!

CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS  AND OBAMA GOT MILLIONS IN THE 2008 ELECTION, AND NOW THEY ARE BEING REWARDED.

Big Labor reportedly struck a deal with health care negotiators to exempt union members from the 40% excise tax on high-priced health insurance premiums. By some estimates, the tax would hit one in four union members. Now Big Labor will get all the big government health care spending they always wanted, but they will not have to pay for it.

 The legislation also sets aside $5 billion to subsidize the costs of employer health benefits for early retirees. As Heritage fellow James Sherk notes, few non union employers, of course, pay pension and health benefits for workers to retire at 55. And then there’s the small business exemption from the employer mandate for businesses with less than 50 employees. At first this applied to all small businesses, but after aggressive lobbying by Big Labor, non-unionized construction businesses were unexempted. Big Labor lobbyists explicitly admitted they wanted to use Obamacare’s job-killing employer mandates as a competitive advantage to drive non-unionized firms out of business.

Big Labor’s high wages and inflexible work rules have already bankrupted our nation’s once proud automobile industry. Across the country, their early retirement and exorbitant pensions are bankrupting states. The health insurance excise tax was once the signature health care spending cost cutter of Obama’s entire health care plan. Now it has been gutted at the altar of Big Labor power. And today the media is reporting that this week, the (SEIU) Service Employees International Union spent $665,000 on the below ad, attacking Scott Brown, the Republican challenger to Democrat Martha Coakley. And Obama did his best to get the vote out for Coakely.

President Obama has posted a new video on his campaign’s YouTube account, and sent an e-mail to his very sizable supporter list, urging his supporters to help Democratic candidate Martha Coakley in the Massachusetts special Senate election. He also points them to a Web page where they can sign up to volunteer.

“In Washington, I’m fighting to curb the abuses of a health insurance industry that routinely denies care,” Obama says in the video. “I’m fighting for financial reform to stop Wall Street from playing havoc with our economy. I’m fighting to create a new energy economy. And it’s clear now that the outcome of these and other fights will probably rest on one vote in the United States Senate. That’s why what happens Tuesday in Massachusetts is so important.”

Obama also said this:  “She represents the best progressive values of Massachusetts”. Note the word “progressive”!  Wikapedia describes progressiveness as progressive politicians in the United States associate with the Democratic Party or the Green Party US. In the US Congress there exists the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which is often in opposition to the more conservative Democrats, who form the Blue Dogs caucus. Some of the more notable progressive members of Congress have included, Dennis Kucinich, Bernie Sanders, John Lewis, and the POTUS is their leader!
