AFRICAN-AMERICANS SHOULD BE PRO-LIFE

I moved to South Florida in the late fifties, and was witness to the massive invasion of Cubans that were fleeing from the Communist Castro oppressive take over of Cuba. The thousands of young men and women arrived here with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and were desperate to find work, any kind of work to keep from starving. Many had relatives who had he foresight to leave Cuba before Castro took over, and they provided many with shelter, but many were put in camps for refugees under the massive bridge in downtown Miami. At the time the wave of Cuban immigrants hit South Florida. The bellhop, waiters, parking attendants and all service personnel were African-Americans. But the Cubans were willing to work for less money, and gradually they took most of the Hotel jobs.

Fast forward to the 1980s and the Mexicans seeking work and a better way of life started the illegal crossing of the borders of California, Arizona and Texas. At first it was a trickle but soon became a wave that has grown to and estimated 12 million illegals that successfully crossed the border into the USA! These mexicans also were willing to work for less than Americans in the fields and the many businesses that did not require particular skills.

What has this got to do with the pro-life issue? Well, many Blacks soon became a minority group that accepted abortion as a way to keep from having children despite their pastors protestations that abortion was wrong. Although many joined White people who embraced the concept of being a welfare mother who lived off the State and Federal government subsides. AS a result Hispanics outnumber blacks as the largest minority group in the USA for the first time since the government began counting the nation’s population more than two centuries ago. The U.S. Census Bureau’s anouncement confirmed what many have treated as fact for some time. Even so, it’s a symbolic milestone for a nation whose history has been dominated by black-white racial dynamics. Increased racial and ethnic diversity is adding a new dimension to everything from product marketing to political campaigning. There are 38.8 million Hispanics in the USA, according to the latest Census Bureau estimates released Wednesday. The figures, as of July 1, show a 9.8% increase since the Census was taken in April 2000. The U.S. population grew 2.5% to 288.4 million in the same period. Hispanics accounted for half of the national increase. Non-Hispanic blacks, including people who say they’re black and another race, grew at a much slower rate than Hispanics, up 3.1%, to 36.6 million. Hispanics make up 13% of the nation’s population. The number of Asians also surged. They’re up 9% to 13.1 million. The population gains by Hispanics reflect a society that has already embraced Spanish TV and election ballots in Spanish.

The Hispanic population is soaring because of immigration and higher birth rates. The above illustrates the clout that Hispanics have in Washington. Including the drive for amnesty! While the Hispanics have grown in numbers the Blacks have joined the genocide that is abortion. The following is a report printed in CNSNews.com today by a Black female gynecologist, “(CNSNews.com) – Abortion kills more black Americans than the seven leading causes of death combined, according to data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for 2005, the latest year for which the abortion numbers are available. Abortion killed at least 203,991 blacks in the 36 states and two cities (New York City and the District of Columbia) that reported abortions by race in 2005, according to the CDC. During that same year, according to the CDC, a total of 198,385 blacks nationwide died from heart disease, cancer, strokes, accidents, diabetes, homicide, and chronic lower respiratory diseases combined. These were the seven leading causes of death for black Americans that year. A total of 49 jurisdictions reported their abortion numbers for 2005 to the CDC. These included all 50 states–except California, Louisiana, and New Hampshire–and New York City and the District of Columbia. Of these 49 jurisdiction, only 36 states plus New York City and the District of Columbia reported the number of abortions by race. Of these 36 states, Georgia reported the largest number of abortions–18,325–among African-Americans. Idaho and Montana reported the fewest, 16 and 17 respectively. Among the large states not reporting abortions by race–and thus where the number of blacks killed by abortions is not included in the national total of 203,991–are California, Florida, Illinois and the rest of New York state outside of New York City. According to the CDC, the total of 203,991 blacks killed by abortion in 2005 also does not include those aborted by “private physicians’ procedures.”

Every year since 1969, the CDC has amassed abortion data by state or area of occurrence, requesting information each year from the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and New York City. The CDC attempts to collect data on abortions by the age, race and marital status of the women who undergo them as well as the type of abortion procedure. In 2005, a total of 820,151 legal abortions were performed in the 49 jurisdiction that reported abortions to the CDC, according to the “Abortion Surveillance” report, which is published in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, or MMWR, for Nov. 28, 2008. (Scroll up to top of report) The report states, “Approximately 1 in 5 U.S. pregnancies have ended in abortion,” and also notes some limitations on the data: “The overall number, ratio, and rate of abortions are conservative estimates; the total numbers of legal induced abortions provided by central health agencies and reported to the CDC for 2005 were probably lower than the numbers actually performed.” The report states that there were 203,991 blacks killed by abortion, which comprises 35.5 percent of all abortions reported for that year.

Rev. Clenard H. Childress, Jr., founder of BlackGenocide.org, told CNSNews.com that according to numbers gleaned from statistics provided by the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion group, 1,784 blacks are aborted each day. Also, he notes on his Web site that three out of five African-American women will obtain an abortion. Childress said the information and sources on his Web site have never been challenged by abortion-access supporters. “This is because they can see that themselves, and they know them probably to be far worse than we’re reporting. The facts come from the pro-abort/pro-choice community,” he said. “You want to go to a reliable source where people can’t dismiss what you’re saying,” Childress said. “Yet the Congressional Black Caucus, NAACP, Urban League, and the National Action Committee of Al Sharpton fail abysmally to report not only the decimation but the health ramifications which are questionably very pertinent and provable,” said Childress. “It would be one thing if we were talking about something hypothetically, but these are actual empirical proofs. … We simply want the health issues of abortion to be discussed,” Childress added. Time for Blacks to decide that Right to Life is good for political clout if not just for the moral travesty that abortion is to the most unprotected children in the USA. A child in the mother’s womb!

Speaker Pelosi’ Government-Run Health Plan Will Require a Monthly Abortion Premium

Health care reform should not be used as an opportunity to use federal funds to pay for elective abortions. Health reform should be an opportunity to protect human life - not end it.

Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page government takeover of health care does just that. On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan. It’s right there on line 16, page 96, section 213, under “Insurance Rating Rules.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account - and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services.

Even more blatantly, Speaker Pelosi took out a key provision that would ensure that when patients are given information on end-of-life options it would not include physician-assisted suicide. Instead, she offered the new bill that includes end-of-life 'counseling' without ensuring that such 'counseling' will not encourage physician-assisted suicide as already occurs in Oregon and Washington.

"From womb to tomb, this legislation would use funds garnered from taxpayers to fund abortions and encourage seniors to end their lives early in states such as Oregon and Washington. Consequently, it is paramount that Members of both parties support amendments to prevent a massive new wave of federal funding for abortion, to permanently prevent abortion funding in Indian Health and to re-insert the language preventing physician assisted suicide 'counseling'."


Section 213 describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run plan. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.

This is in direct opposition to the Hyde Bill! Speaker Pelosi and the Democratic Leadership introduced a new version of the "Affordable Health Care for America Act" which provides federal funds for elective abortion, reauthorizes Indian Health Care without adding the Hyde Amendment, and mandates providing information about physician-assisted suicide in certain states.


"Speaker Pelosi might as well rename her bill the 'Government Funded Abortions for America Act.' This almost 2,000 page bill, which will cost more than one trillion dollars, guts the Hyde Amendment abortion funding ban by explicitly authorizing federal funding for elective abortion funding in the government option. The bill also subsidizes health plans that cover all elective abortions.

She is ignoring the roughly 70 percent of the American people who, polls show, consistently oppose federal funding of elective abortion, which indisputably is what this new health bill does! Despite the zeal Pelosi has for killing babies in their mother's womb there are people who are turning away from Americas genocide as this story tells.
"Watching an ultrasound of an abortion changed Abby Johnson forever. She is now pro life and has quit her job as director of the Planned Parenthood clinic in Bryan, Texas. Johnson describes her conversion this way:

“I just thought I can’t do this anymore, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that’s it.”
She also says that there was pressure on her to increase revenues for Planned Parenthood by increasing the number of abortions. She explains in The Houston Chronicle:

A CONSTITUTIONAL AND MORAL CRISIS

Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), a physician who chairs the Republican Study Committee, said he’s actually read the 1,018-page bill that emerged from the House Ways and Means Committee, and he called it “medical malpractice.”

“This is the farthest reach of government in decades,” Price said. “This debate is not about health care, it’s about freedom. We should write into law that patients, families and doctors make medical decisions, not the government,” Price said. “We’ve got to solve the challenge of lawsuit abuse.”

Despite Obama's protestations that "HIS" bill will not include money for abortions. All the House bills and one of the Senate bills includes language that would provide funding for private organizations for abortions.

President Barack Obama’s assertion that the Democrat-backed health care overhaul would not publicly fund abortions is “demonstrably false and extraordinarily misleading,” Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) told the conservative Values Voters summit on Friday.

Smith predicted that abortions would increase by as much a one third if the Democrats’ health care legislation is enacted.

“Never have I been more concerned about the promotion of abortion coming out of the White House,” Smith said. “The unborn child and his or her mother are more at risk now than ever, since Roe v. Wade itself.

A recent Gallup poll showed a majority of Americans are pro-life and abortions have been declining, Smith said. “Against all that, the abortionists teamed up with Barack Obama, the abortion president, to coerce you and I to support abortion” with federal tax dollars, Smith said.


The former president of the American Medical Association, Dr. Donald Palmisano, a surgeon, warned that if the Obama administration did not slow down on its drive for a government-led health care overhaul, the treatment choices available to patients would be undercut.

He added that the president’s “public option” plan in particular would be a disaster for patients and medical innovation.

“When it comes to health system reform: slow down. Patients’ lives are at risk,” Palmisano told reporters at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. “Today, in America, we have the best health care system in the world – a system that provides urgent, preventative, and long-term care in every community at all hours of the day.
"The health care system is never closed in the United States,” he said. Let’s put the patient in control, with the doctor as trusted adviser,” he said. “Let’s not lose the liberty that is our right as Americans.”

“On health care, we must stand firm for no further diminution of protection of the unborn child and no further expansion of culture of death,” Smith said.

Although, for me, abortion is a moral issue not a right. There are many people who believe it is a right " to choose" and I respect their opinion. They are wrong in that it is not a rirght given by the Constitution or Bill or Rights, but a LICENSE to remove the baby from what should be the safest place in the world. The mother's womb!
But by giving the government, specificaly the president the control over all of our nealth care should ring alarm bells for anyone who appreciates and wants to protect our personal freedoms.
 
The health care bill under consideration in the House of Representatives would give President Obama the authority to name a new federal “Health Choices Commissioner” who would have sweeping power to govern the health insurance plans offered in a so-called "exchange" where millions of Americans would get their health insurance if the bill is enacted.


These powers would include deciding which treatments are covered, which companies can participate, which states can run their own exchange, and enrolling individuals into the public exchange.
The Health Choices Commissioner would establish “the benefits to be made available under Exchange-participating health benefit plans during each plan year,” according to page 84 of the 1,018-page bill. That means the commissioner would determine what benefits the participating insurance companies must offer participating customers in the exchange.


The commissioner would also set rules for insurance companies to participate in the health insurance exchange, and establish criteria for individuals to receive federal subsidies to purchase insurance in the exchange, according to section 142 on page 42 of the legislation.
Further, the commissioner would have the authority to establish “automatic enrollment” of individuals who qualify for the health insurance exchange.

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) believes giving one bureaucrat this much power over the health insurance of Americans is among the least noticed provisions of the legislation.

“The American people want two things from health care reform: lower costs and more choices,” Boehner said in a statement. “Yet Democrats have done exactly the opposite coming up with a bill that actually raises costs--increasing the deficit by $240 billion--and letting a new federal bureaucrat make health care decisions that should be left to patients and their doctors.”
The legislation also gives the commissioner power to determine who can participate and under what conditions.

And if you could trust the leadership of the Democrat party before this attack on 1/6th of our economy. You should be convinced that by now they will say anything and do anything( even go to bed with ACORN and SEIU) to gave absolute power!
This interaction with Speaker Pelosi illustrates the duplicity of the Democrats and some RINOs.

"While many pro-life Democrats in the House of Representatives say they will not vote for a health care reform bill unless it explicitly prohibits federal funding for abortion through insurance plans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has declined to state whether the final legislation should address the issue.

On the July 26 edition of CNN’s State of the Union, for example, host John King asked Pelosi: “If this bill passes and there’s a public option, should that public option cover abortions?”

Pelosi said: “That’s not--that’s not the issue. The issue is people go out there to--we’ll be working on that issue. But that’s not the issue to people like me. And it should be an issue for the 60 million Catholics in the USA and all Christians and Jews that beleive in the Commandment "Thou shal not kill"!

We must stop this atrocity masked as a welfare reform from happenening. Write, call and email your representatives in Washington, an go to TEA partys and rallys, and we will stop this abomination from happening!!

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Yesterday the president said it is the moral obligation of Congress to pass his Health Care Bill.
In my opinion, it is immoral to attack those who realize the intrinsic evil that Obamacare presents to the people of the USA, and oppose it for a myriad of reasons. Not the least of which is it will give control over 1/6th of our economy to the Federal Government that has traditionally been in the private sector, and 81% of the people are satisfied with!.
The main reason I oppose the bill is that it is immoral to rob from those who by the sweat of their brow or the work of their God given brain have earned it, and give it to illegals and people who choose to spend their money on wants not needs!

But there is another issue that all Christians, Jews and Muslims should be concerned about that is reason enough to scrap this Bill and start over!
It is the provision in Section 1233 of HR 3200 that speaks of the ability of the Secretary of Health and Human Services to affect support for abortion. The killing of an innocent life that is in the most protected place in the world. A mothers womb!!

Obama says that claims that abortion funding is included in the Bill are fabrications, but what he doesn't tell you is that there is a provision that allow SHHR to fund abortions as this copy of CardinalRigali illustrates.
Obama is apparently either unaware of this provision or chooses to lie again to accomplish his goal of socializing our medical care!

Dear Representative:
As you continue deliberations on the “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act” (H.R.
3200), I urge you to consider the overall priorities and concerns presented by the U.S.
Conference of Catholic Bishops in Bishop William Murphy’s July 17 letter to Congress
(www.usccb.org/sdwp/national/2009-07-17-murphy-letter-congress.pdf). The bishops’
conference views health care as a basic right belonging to all human beings. We therefore have long supported health care reform that respects human life and dignity from conception to natural death; provides access to quality health care for all, with a special concern for immigrants and the poor; preserves pluralism, with respect for rights of conscience; and restrains costs while sharing them equitably.

As this debate continues we will share our perspectives on positive and negative features in this and other health care reform legislation. In this letter I am writing specifically about our fundamental requirement that such legislation respect human life and rights of conscience in the context of abortion. Much-needed reform must not become a vehicle for promoting an “abortion rights” agenda or reversing longstanding policies against federal funding and mandated coverage of abortion.

In this sense we urge you to make this legislation “abortion neutral,” by preserving
longstanding federal policies that prevent government promotion of abortion and respect conscience rights.
As amended by the House Energy and Commerce Committee on July 31, H.R. 3200
addresses two aspects of the abortion issue: The Act will not preempt certain state laws regulating abortion, and will have no effect on existing federal conscience rights on abortion.

These changes are helpful improvements. Especially welcome is the committee’s approval of the Stupak/Pitts amendment, prohibiting governmental bodies that receive federal funds under this Act from discriminating against providers and insurers who decline involvement in abortion.

The bishops’ conference had urged approval of this amendment, which applies the policy of the Weldon amendment (approved by Congress every year since 2004 as part of the Labor/HHS appropriations bill) to the health care reform bill.
On two other fundamental issues, however, the Act remains seriously deficient:

1. The legislation delegates to the Secretary of Health and Human Services the power to make unlimited abortion a mandated benefit in the “public health insurance plan” the government will manage nationwide. This would be a radical change: Federal law has long excluded most abortions from federal employees’ health benefits packages, and no federal health program mandates coverage of elective abortions.

2. Because some federal funds are authorized and appropriated by this legislation without passing through the Labor/HHS appropriations bill, they are not covered by the Hyde amendment and other federal provisions that have long prevented federal funding of abortion and of health benefits packages that include abortion.

The committee rejected an amendment to extend this longstanding policy to the use of federal subsidies for health care premiums under this Act. Instead the committee created a legal fiction, a paper separation between federal funding and abortion: Federal funds will subsidize the public plan, as well as private health plans
that include abortion on demand; but anyone who purchases these plans is required to pay a premium out of his or her own pocket (specified in the Act to be at least $1.00a month) to cover all abortions beyond those eligible for federal funds under the current Hyde amendment.
Thus some will claim that federal taxpayer funds do not support abortion under the Act.

But this is an illusion. Funds paid into these plans are fungible, and federal taxpayer funds will subsidize the operating budget and provider networks that expand access to abortions.
Furthermore, those constrained by economic necessity or other factors to purchase the “public plan” will be forced by the federal government to pay directly and specifically for abortion coverage. This is the opposite of the policy in every other federal health program.

Government will force low-income Americans to subsidize abortions for others (and abortion coverage for themselves) even if they find abortion morally abhorrent.
Please consider the broader context. No federal program mandates coverage for elective abortions, or subsidizes health plans that include such abortions. Most Americans do not want abortion in their health coverage, and most consider themselves “pro-life,” with a stronger majority among low-income Americans. About 80 percent of all hospitals do not generally provide abortions, and 85 percent of U.S. counties have no abortion provider.

By what right,then, and by what precedent, would Congress make abortion coverage into a nationwide norm, or force Americans to subsidize it as a condition for participating in a public health program?
As long-time supporters of genuine health care reform, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is working to ensure that needed health reform is not undermined by abandoning longstanding and widely supported policies against abortion funding and mandates and in favor of conscience protection.

I urge you to help ensure that any legislation that comes up for a vote in the full House does not include these unacceptable features. Please support amendments to correct them, and oppose any rule for consideration of H.R. 3200 that would block such amendments.

By your actions on these issues, you can advance urgently needed health care reform that will truly serve the poor and needy and uphold the dignity of all.

ANOTHER REASON WHY NOTRE DAMES CHOICE IS WRONG!!!

THERE IS A IMBROGLIO GOING ON BETWEEN THE NOTRE DAME ALUMNI, AND "SUBWAY ALUMNI",( OF WHICH I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER SINCE THE DAYS I WORKED AT MILLER BREWERY WITH THE GREAT IRISH FULLBACK NEIL WORDEN)BECAUSE OF THE DECISION TO GIVE PRESIDENT OBAMA AN HONORARY DEGREE.

All the dispute is because Notre Dame is the power house Catholic university in the USA, and Obama is an outspoken advocate of abortion and partial birth abortion. Not all Catholics appear to feel that is a reason to disqualify Obama from being awarded the honorary degree, as the polls indicate that approximately 58% of people who identify themselves as Catholics voted for President Obama in the general election.

Those 58% percent are either ignorant or choose to ignore the precepts of the Roman Catholic Church. The Church has been an outspoken advocate for the sanctity of life from conception until natural death occurs for centuries. This puts anyone who supports abortion , and especially partial birth abortion( the killing of a live baby in the birth canal by sucking it's brains out)in direct opposition to the teaching of not only the Catholic Church but many Christians and Jews, despite what the "unsupremes" ruled in Roe/Wade.

And now there is another reason to disqualify Obama from even giving a speech at Notre Dame, much less getting an honorary doctorate.
This story was published in the Patriot post today. I am including a portion of it to illustrate why Obama should not be on the podium this Sunday at Notre Dame. At least Arizona State had the sense and chutzpah to not award an honorary dgree when Obama spoke at their graduation yesterday.

"Harry Knox is the director of the Faith and Religion Program at the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a homosexual rights organization. Knox has said, among other things, that the pope’s view on condoms was “hurting people in the name of Jesus,” and that the Catholic Church's denial of communion to a “married” lesbian couple was “immoral and insulting to Jesus” and an “act of spiritual and emotional violence.”

Further, Knox said that by not supporting a U.N. resolution that called for decriminalizing homosexuality and equating all sexual orientations, the Vatican was “sending a message that violence and human rights abuses against LGBT people are acceptable.”

Knox has also called Pope Benedict XVI a “discredited leader” and described the Catholic Knights of Columbus a “discredited army of oppression” because they supported a California ballot initiative to define marriage as being between one man and one woman.

Obama named Knox to his advisory council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships on April 6. CNSNews.com previously reported that the letter Boehner signed called on President Obama to remove Knox".Source:CNSNEWS.com

If Knox said this about Muslims who stone to death or throw off high buildings known homosexuals in many Muslim countries. He would be widely condemned by the Media, and certainly never appointed to any staff position by Obama. There is something seriously wrong with what is going on in the Halls of Power in Washington when people who advocate killing a human in the most safe place in the world (a mother's womb) are appointed to positions of power. It is time for the Silent Majority to be resurrected!

WILL AMERICA LOSE ALL IT'S CATHOLIC HOSPITALS

If the signals from the Obama administration are correct. President Obama is seriously considering repealing the exemption that Catholic Hospitals,that treat medicaid and Medicare patients, have to do abortions on demand.If this abomination comes to be, the Catholic Bishops of the USA have threatened to close all the Catholic hospitals. This would reduce the valuable available beds and medical services that these CATHOLIC HOSPITALS PRESENTLY PROVIDE!

As many as 1 in 5 Americans, regardless of religion, race, age, or ability to pay, receive health care from Catholic caregivers. More than 15 million emergency-room visits and 84 million outpatient visits occur in Catholic hospitals in a given year. Source:NRO

EWTN interviewed noted Jurist Judge Bork about this important issue. Following is an excerpt from that interview:

Judge Bork was unsure about whether the U.S. Supreme Court would uphold such a right. He predicted the decision would rest with Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, who in some cases sides with liberals and at other times with “originalists,” those who profess to hold a more tradition-minded interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.

“It depends upon Anthony Kennedy,” Judge Bork told CNS. “Now, it’s a funny situation in which the moral life of a nation is in effect decided by one judge, because you have four solid liberal votes, four solid originalist votes, and one vote you can’t predict too accurately in advance.”

Though Justice Kennedy is a Catholic, he sided with the majority who upheld the pro-abortion rights Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade in the 1992 case Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Judge Bork said that a decision involving the freedom of Catholic hospitals to refuse to perform abortions would split by a 5-4 vote.

“But I don’t know which way,” he added.

The Cybercast News interview with the jurist also touched upon the place of religion in public life.

“I don’t think the disputants talk much about God anymore,” Judge Bork commented. “That’s one of the things that I think is regrettable--and I know liberals have said the same thing, it is not a conservative position particularly--but it is regrettable that religion has dropped out of our public discourse. I think it impoverishes it and makes it more violent.”

He explained that he believed this violence was not armed conflict, but rather “violent language and propaganda.”

Judge Bork said he also thought that America is “now going down a path towards kind of a happy-go-lucky nihilism.”

“A lot of people are nihilists,” he continued. “They don’t think about religion. They don’t think about ultimate questions. They go along. They worry about consumer goods, comfort, and so forth.

“As a matter of fact, the abortion question is largely a question about convenience. If you look at the polls about why people have abortions, 90 percent of it has nothing to do with medical conditions. It’s convenience. And that’s I think an example of the secularization of an issue that ought to have a religious dimension.”

When asked whether a nihilistic society can remain “happy-go-lucky” for long, Judge Bork replied:

“I don’t know. I guess we are going to find out.” I believe this is the greatest threat to the freedoms of the USA since the attack on New York twin Towers! The hospital system is already over burdened by patients who use the emergency room as their source of medical care. Law prevents emergency rooms from denying service to the needy because of lack of money, but the right of a religious belief to be exercised in their owned hospitals would be a blow to our Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

And one of the unintended consequences of the 15 million babies that have been killed since Roe/Wade is the fact that as those dead babies could have been wage earners and taxpayers by now.The number of people contributing to the pool of taxpayers who support the Social Security program and other government entitlements has decreased from 3 workers for every one on Federal assistance to a ratio of nearly 1 to 1. What comes after this is the possibility that euthanasia for aged people will be approved to winnow down those who no longer contribute to the welfare of the State!

And as a postscript to this travesty it is being reported that our new President has called to quasi apologize to the Arabs for our Countries past mistakes. Has he forgotten that it was Arabs that started this WAR by destroying the Twin Towers.

UNFPA TO GET $60 MILLION TAXPAYERS DOLLARS

HOW WILL $60 MILLION HELP OUR ECONOMY?





The UN agency UNfPA, an arm of the United Nations relief fund that funds "family" planning in foreign countries, but is really a front for contraceptives and abortion for clinics around the world. Is asking for 60 million dollars from the United States in this fiscal year.
The critics of this program, including ex-President Bush, say that Communist China is using their share of the UN funds to help their enforced family planning, that limits the number of children a family can have, by abortion and forced sterilization. The president of Americans for UNFPA, Anika Rahman, denies this, but it is a fact that China does use abortion and sterilization as the heart of it's family "planning"!

My question is this. How can President Obama give 60 million taxpayer dollars to the UN for this questionable cause when our country is in the midst of what he and his supporters call the worst economic period since the Great Depression?

The web page "Politics 08" has this to say about Obama's position on this dastardly action.
"President Obama kept a low profile on Friday as he fulfilled a campaign promise by reversing President Bush’s policy barring U.S. aid to international organizations which provide abortions or advise women on how to get them.
His low profile is illustrated by this quote from John Gerstein: "there were also indications Obama and his advisers sought to minimize press attention to the polarizing issue and may have tried to avoid antagonizing anti-abortion activists. The administration skipped the chance to issue the directive on Thursday, the 36th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, as thousands of abortion opponents gathered in Washington for an annual rally.

However, the new president also extended an olive branch to anti-abortion groups and expressed a desire to end what he called a “stale and fruitless debate.” (my opinion is that it is a moral issue that has become political, not as Obama says a fruitless debate!)

“It is time that we end the politicization of this issue,” Obama said in a written statement which accompanied an official presidential memorandum canceling Bush’s abortion-related restrictions on American aid money, referred to by critics as a “gag rule.” The new president promised “a fresh conversation on family planning” and said his aides would “reach out to those on all sides of this issue to achieve the goal of reducing unintended pregnancies.”(HE MEANS AS LONG AS THE PRO-LIFE GROUP RECOGNIZES THAT HIS MIND IS MADE UP, HE WILL LET THEM TALK TO HIM)

And to add more emphasis to his pro-abortion stance he and the Democrat controlled Congress have included in the so called "stimulus package"contains hundreds of millions for contraception and abortions as reported to Reuters News by Congressman John Boehner(R).

AND TO SHOW ANOTHER CARD HE HAS NOT PLAYED YET. HE DISMISSED OFF HAND the idea that during a recession he will not raise taxes!!

The ban on funds for this UN agency has been a political football since Ronald Reagan introduced the measure at the UN conference in Mexico City during his Presidency.

Today Marks 36 Years of Infamy

Hollywood and the Cable Networks keep showing episodes of the Nazi death camps. Certainly a low point in mans inhumanity to his fellow man. But there is a genocide ongoing right here in the USA, that was started by seven men in Black Robes(kind of appropriate)36 years ago. Over two million unborn and partially born babies have been killed!
This quote from the Patriot Post,illustrates my feelings on this atrocity to those in the most protected place on earth--their mothers womb!

AN OPEN LETTER TO USA CATHOLICS AND JEWS

According to the exit polls, President-Elect Obama built a winning coalition of religious voters of all persuasions, significantly closing the gap which traditionally shows frequent-worshippers leaning towards the Republicans.

Despite the abortion furore and his avowed liberalism, he won over a majority of Jews and Roman Catholics, made significant inroads into the younger Evangelicals, and persuaded vast numbers of the minor religious groups to buy into his vision.
TNE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT MANY IGNORED THE TEACHINGS OF THEIR BIBLES AND IN THE JEWISH CASE THE TORAH!
One Jewish leader, former Clinton White House Counsel even went so far as to call Barack Obama a "yiddishe neshuma" to describe him. It essentially means a Jewish soul. It's an expression my mother used. It means a sensitive, sympathetic personality, someone who understands where you are coming from." So much for Moses and the Ten Commandments! And to quote Tora Aish, "How can we be redeemed? We have no good deeds to our credit. What is going to be with us?"


The Democrats usually do well with the Jewish vote, and this election was no different. President-Elect Obama won about 77 per cent, which was an increase on the 2004 election, when Democratic candidate John Kerry received 74 per cent of the Jewish vote.

Nationwide, 54 percent of Catholics supported Obama and 44 percent voted for McCain. Of the total population, 52 percent voted for Obama and 46 percent for McCain.

THIS IS THE STATISTICAL REPORT FROM THE CATHOLIC NEWS SERVICE. And if it is true there are 54% of the Catholics in the USA that ignored one of the basic tenets of the Catholic church. You should not kill! And my belief is that not enough Parish priests and Bishops stressed the fact that voting for a man who is 100% for abortion and partial birth abortion is tantamount to consenting to the sin of abortion!
A number( unfortunately not all)of US Catholic bishops emphasised abortion as a paramount voting issue this year, but the economy and/or the Iraq war appears to have been a primary cause for the voting shift.
Bishop Joseph F. Martino of the Scranton Diocese issued a letter, which he required pastors to read to their parishioners, warning that "being 'right' on taxes, education, health care, immigration and the economy fails to make up for the error of disregarding the value of a human life." Martino continued: "It is a tragic irony that 'pro-choice' candidates have come to support homicide - the gravest injustice a society can tolerate - in the name of 'social justice."

The Catholic Church lists nine ways that a Catholic may be complicit in the commission of a Mortal Sin. 5. If the person had full knowledge of the severity of the sin;
1. If the person voluntarily consented to the sin;
2. If the person assisted others to sin;
3. If the person by advised someone to sin;
4. If the person commanded someone to sin;
5. If the person provoked someone to sin;
6. If the person consented to some one's sin;
7. If the person showed someone how to sin;
8. If the person praised someone for his sin;
9. If the person concealed, remained silent or did nothing to prevent some one's sin

It is number nine that I am afraid most of the 54% percent of Catholics that voted for a man(OBAMA) who not only voted repeatedly for abortion rights, but voted against a Bill that would have given the right to life for a baby born despite a failed abortion. Semantics call it "partial-birth abortion". This is murder pure and simple,Ipso facto!! And do not compare abortion to the death penalty. In abortion you are terminating the life of an innocent person. Not so in the death penalty!

Perhaps this explains the results of a study done by Believenet that showed that Catholics(as well as other Christians) are actually no more guilt-ridden than anyone else. In my opinion it is a sign that Christians and Jews, as a whole, and Catholics in specific have killed their conscience by being politically correct. And even the former Communist Russian paper Pravda hailed the turn away from religious principles in their congratulation message about Obama's election.
This from the Rocky Mountain Express; "Russian newspaper Pravada praised Obama, and said " … in choosing Obama, the people of America have opted to come back into the international fold. Welcome back, friends!" I am not sure the secular world is where we want to be!

Apparently 54% of the Catholics were CINO's( catholics in name only)in the majority of the States in the USA. "Cradle" Catholics, who go to church on Sunday, but leave their beliefs in the church when the service is over!

What is interesting is the vote of the religious group that is dedicated to replacing all religions but theirs, in time.
It is reported that 89 per cent of US Muslims voted for Barack Obama, as against 2 per cent for John McCain. 95 per cent of Muslims are reported to have voted in this presidential election, either at the polls or by absentee ballot. This is the highest ever American Muslim voter turnout.
And as a group, black Protestants, 94 per cent voted for Obama, along with 72 per cent of Hispanic Catholics and 67 per cent of Hispanic Protestants.

All this indicates to me that religious leaders have failed to get the message that the Ten Commandments are the basis for religious belief, and Americans put their religious beliefs second behind personal gain, and voted for a slick talking man with a bag full of promises!

THE CHEER LEADERS FOR OUR OWN VERSION OF GENOCIDE ARE COMING

The blood of the millions of "murdered" unborn and partial born infants, who have been killed in the years since The Supreme Court ruled on the most heinous law in our history, cries out for vengeance. The Bush administration and most of the Republicans in Congress have tried to hold back the genocide of the most vulnerable class of people, a baby in it's mothers womb. But the Media is trumpeting the news from the transition team for president elect Obama, to roll back all restrictions on abortion and expand the agenda of the "Right to Choose" cabal.

If ever there was a schizophrenic slogan, the "right too choose" has to head the list.
The choice was made when the woman choose to have sex that can never be protected from conception unless the woman, or man she is having coitus with, is sterilized!
What about the right of the living fetus in the womb? It is arguably the most protected place in the world, the mothers womb! But not anymore!

With all the economic troubles we Americans currently have, and the threat of Iran developing nuclear weapons during Obama's first or second year in the Oval Office. His transition team has let the people know that one of his first acts will be to roll back the right of a Physician to refuse to perform an abortion if his conscience prohibits him from doing the killing.

Where is the logic in the ability of a man or women to refuse to serve in a combat unit because he/she is a conscientious objector, but Our President thinks it should punish a doctor for refusing to participate in killing a defenseless baby while still in the womb with absolutely no way of defending itself?

"The outgoing Bush administration this week will finalize a regulation establishing a "right of conscience" allowing medical staff to refuse to participate in any practice they object to on moral grounds, including abortion but possibly birth control and other health care as well.

In transition offices across town, officials in the incoming Obama administration have begun considering how and when to undo it.

The regulation is one of a swath of abortion and other reproductive-health issues under review by the Obama team, which is preparing to reverse a variety of Bush measures, according to officials close to the transition. The review is part of a sweeping scrutiny of Bush-era legislation and regulation on issues across the federal government, from environmental and labor rules to defense spending.

Decisions that the new administration will weigh include: whether to cut funding for sexual abstinence programs; whether to increase funding for comprehensive sex education programs that include discussion of birth control; whether to allow federal health plans to pay for abortions; and whether to overturn regulations such as one that makes fetuses eligible for health-care coverage under the Children's Health Insurance Program.

Women's health advocates are also pushing for a change in rules that would lower the cost of birth control at college health clinics.Obama aides will have to settle many of these questions in issuing their first budget in February".

Atheists, neotheists, agnostics, secular humanists, Janists and those who follow the teaching of Ludwig Feuerback need not read any further. This blog will just upset you, and I do not intend my message to offend you. You believe what you believe, and that is your right! My message is for those who profess to believe, but yesterday proved they really don't!

Despite the Prohibition from God that thou should not kill.Christians, Catholics In Name Only and Jews helped to elect a man who believes not only in abortion, but in not giving life saving support to babies that survive abortion!

If the six largest communities of Christian religions and the practicing Jews had voted pro-life we would have had many more millions of votes for McCain! Twenty-four percent of all adults in the USA claim to be Catholics.The estimated Catholic population in 2001 census was 66.4 million. If one quarter of this number was over 18 as estimated. Had they voted their informed conscience. There would have been 15 more million votes for the Pro=Life candidate. BUT THEY chose the false god of money; THE ECONOMY!

At a Mass marking the completion of the 40 Days for Life campaign in Fargo, North Dakota, Bishop Samuel J. Aquila reminded his congregation that no Catholic can vote for someone who supports an intrinsic evil and that all Catholics “will be judged by how we vote.”

“Judgment is real, just as heaven and hell are real,” Bishop Aquila explained during his homily in Fargo Sunday. “When the soul separates from the body and comes before God, we will be judged on how we lived. It’s important to understand the reality of that judgment.”

According to a press release from the diocese, Bishop Aquila urged the congregation to reflect upon the four last things and how they apply to the 40 Days for Life campaign. The 40 Days for Life North Dakota effort of prayer, fasting and peaceful, prayerful witness outside the state’s only abortion facility began Sept. 24, in conjunction with similar campaigns in more than 170 cities across the nation.

An intrinsic evil is anything that is always and at every time wrong – that can never be seen as a ‘good’.” He noted the intrinsic evils of abortion, contraception, premarital sex, same-sex acts and the taking of innocent human life during war

And, yes, there are many Catholics with erroneous consciences who have made prudential judgments that are wrong and have consistently made prudential judgments that are wrong. Either they do not fully understand the teaching of the Church or they choose to ignore that teaching and they choose an evil, and an intrinsic evil.”

“For any society to be just, it must reflect the order of God,” the prelate continued. “There are fundamental rights that no one can violate and those are the inalienable rights that our forefathers recognized so clearly -- and note the order -- life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The bishop was careful to note that American Catholics must be concerned about other issues impacting the country such as the economy, the war in Iraq, immigration and other issues, however, he emphasized that “we must recognize that first must come the fundamental right to life…the respect for human life from the moment of conception to natural death.”

Bishop Aquila concluded his homily by encouraging the members of his diocese to persist in the fight for life. “It is important for us to never give up the battle that is taking place within our country. Even as we close these 40 days, I encourage each of you to continue to stand for the gift of life. I encourage you to continue to pray and fast in your own homes. I encourage you to pray in front of the abortion clinic, to pray for the conversion of all those who support a so-called right to abortion, because, by doing that, they are risking hell. When one looks at the Gospel, and looks at the teaching of Jesus, that is what they are risking.”

Do we really want judges who decide cases based on who you are, rather than on the facts and the law? If the case involves a white man versus a black woman, should the judge decide that case differently than if both litigants are of the same race or sex? ... Didn't we spend decades in America, and centuries in Western civilization, trying to get away from the idea that who you are determines what your legal rights are?" --Hoover Institute economist Thomas Sowell

Well he has won, and I for one believe it is time to form a new political Party. Everyone who has brain realizes that the two political parties are responsible for the mess we have in Washington. Republicans and Democrats voted to allow the massive bail out of their benefactors in the New York banks and Wall street brokers who created this economic mess!
My proposal is to form a Christian Conservative Party. A party that stands for the right to life from conception to natural death. A party that believes in individual rights as long as they do not violate the Moral Law, Capitalism, private property rights and the basic tenants of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

The Republican and Democrat Congress has an approval rating of less than 17%. It is time for a change in the political landscape. We would not win many elections but at least we would not lose our Souls by voting for people who have turned their back on God!

On March 25,1995 Pope John Paul II issued his "Evanggluim Vitae because he believed the Secular World was promoting a culture of death not a culture that recognizes the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.
The Encyclical is very long so I will include only those quotes that relate to the theme of this Blog.

"The Second Vatican Council, in a passage which retains all its relevance today, forcefully condemned a number of crimes and attacks against human life. Thirty years later, taking up the words of the Council and with the same forcefulness I repeat that condemnation in the name of the whole Church, certain that I am interpreting the genuine sentiment of every upright conscience: "Whatever is opposed to life itself, such as any type of murder, genocide, abortion, euthanasia, or wilful self-destruction, whatever violates the integrity of the human person, such as mutilation, torments inflicted on body or mind, attempts to coerce the will itself; whatever insults human dignity, such as subhuman living conditions, arbitrary imprisonment, deportation, slavery, prostitution, the selling of women and children; as well as disgraceful working conditions, where people are treated as mere instruments of gain rather than as free and responsible persons; all these things and others like them are infamies indeed. They poison human society, and they do more harm to those who practise them than to those who suffer from the injury. Moreover, they are a supreme dishonour to the Creator".

"Unfortunately, this disturbing state of affairs, far from decreasing, is expanding: with the new prospects opened up by scientific and technological progress there arise new forms of attacks on the dignity of the human being. At the same time a new cultural climate is developing and taking hold, which gives crimes against life a new and-if possible-even more sinister character, giving rise to further grave concern: broad sectors of public opinion justify certain crimes against life in the name of the rights of individual freedom, and on this basis they claim not only exemption from punishment but even authorization by the State, so that these things can be done with total freedom and indeed with the free assistance of health-care systems.

All this is causing a profound change in the way in which life and relationships between people are considered. The fact that legislation in many countries, perhaps even departing from basic principles of their Constitutions, has determined not to punish these practices against life, and even to make them altogether legal, is both a disturbing symptom and a significant cause of grave moral decline. Choices once unanimously considered criminal and rejected by the common moral sense are gradually becoming socially acceptable. Even certain sectors of the medical profession, which by its calling is directed to the defence and care of human life, are increasingly willing to carry out these acts against the person. In this way the very nature of the medical profession is distorted and contradicted, and the dignity of those who practise it is degraded. In such a cultural and legislative situation, the serious demographic, social and family problems which weigh upon many of the world's peoples and which require responsible and effective attention from national and international bodies, are left open to false and deceptive solutions, opposed to the truth and the good of persons and nations.

The end result of this is tragic: not only is the fact of the destruction of so many human lives still to be born or in their final stage extremely grave and disturbing, but no less grave and disturbing is the fact that conscience itself, darkened as it were by such widespread conditioning, is finding it increasingly difficult to distinguish between good and evil in what concerns the basic value of human life".

Despite this admonition there those within the Catholic Church and many who hate the Catholic Church, who believe that abortion is a non-issue in elections. People like "Father" Pfleger(defender of Louis Farrakhan) and a few liberal Bishops have advocated the election of Obama/Biden. Both of whom are supporters of abortion and late term abortion!
Now we learn that Billionaire George Soros, in addition to a supporter of Obama, is bankrolling liberal Catholic groups that support abortion.

An investigation by the New York-based Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights finds that George Soros' Open Society Institute gave Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good $50,000 in 2005 and $100,000 in 2006.Soros defines his concept of an Open Society as:"An open society, in my definition, is an imperfect society that holds itself open to improvement". This includes being tolerant of new ideas and different modes of thinking and behavior! No wonder he backs Obama and abortion rights "catholica".



Catholic League president Bill Donohue suspects that Soros may also be funding the group Catholics United, an organization with which Catholics in Alliance has a formal relationship. Donahue contends both groups are "in the pocket of the Democratic Party" and are trying to sell Catholics the notion that they can be opponents of abortion and not seek to overturn Roe v. Wade if they support minimum wage and more welfare benefits.

"George Soros, who's basically an anti-American, far left-wing, pro-abortion, anti-Semite, anti-Catholic, is funding the Catholic left. Now, if the Catholic League were getting money from an anti-American, far right-wing, pro-abortion, anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic source, we'd be out of business in a New York minute," Donahue says. "By the way, George Soros lavishly funds Catholics for Choice, previously called Catholics for a Free Choice."

Donohue suggests Soros is attempting to make respectable the idea that one can be Catholic and promote abortion. However, Donohue notes Pope Benedict XVI has said some issues for Catholics are non-negotiable -- including abortion

Catholic League president Bill Donohue exposes the nexus between George Soros and two left-wing Catholic groups, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics United:

“In 2003, after left-wing mogul George Soros blamed Jews for anti-Semitism, the ADL branded his comments ‘obscene.’ Two years later, I accused him of anti-Catholicism when his group, MoveOn.org, posted a picture of a smiling Pope Benedict XVI holding a gavel outside the U.S. Supreme Court, along with the following inscription: ‘God Already Has a Job…He does not need one on the Supreme Court.’

“Why is this relevant? Because this same bigot is connected to two apologists for abortion rights, Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics United. In 2006, Soros’ Open Society Institute gave Catholics in Alliance $100,000 (double the amount he gave in 2005), and in the same year Catholics in Alliance listed Catholics United on its 990 as an organization with which it has a formal relationship. John Podesta, White House Chief of Staff under President Bill Clinton from 1998 until 2001,who runs the Soros-funded organization, Center for American Progress, admits that he works closely with Catholics in Alliance and Catholics United. The Center for American Progress is also the sponsor of Faith and Public Life.Illinois born Podesta is presently head of the Liberals much anticipated Transition Team for Obama!

All those who believe in the Ten commandments must recognise that abortion is the modern day genocide of tiny infants who should be in the most safe place in the world, a mother's womb!
It is high time to stop pretending that we do not know what this nation of ours is allowing—and approving—with the killing each year of more than 1,600,000 innocent human beings within their mothers. We know full well that to kill what is clearly seen to be an innocent human being or what cannot be proved to be other than an innocent human being is as wrong as wrong gets.

This is good advice for all who believe in the rule of law, and especially for Christians who believe that taking a life via abortion, partial birth abortion or euthanasia is contrary to Canon law, and despite the twisted Supreme Court decision, should not be supported by Catholic politicians. For that matter all Christians and Jews who believe in the Commandment that says, "You should not Kill"!

The law that governs actions of Catholics, in faith and morals, who accept the teachings of the Church as iterated by the Pope is very definite on politicians who support or promote any form of ending natural life after conception before natural death.By their own actions they excommunicate themselves from the Body Of The Church!

October 31, 2000, Pope John Paul II proclaimed St. Thomas More the "patron saint of government officials and politicians." In his apostolic letter, Pope John remarked on the need for such a patron saint at a time when "scientific achievements in the area of biotechnology underline the need to defend human life at all its different stages." St. Thomas More provides such a role model, as the papal epistle proclaims: "Whenever men or women heed the call of truth, their conscience then guides their actions reliably towards good. Precisely because of the witness he bore, even at the price of his life, to the primacy of truth over power, Saint Thomas More is venerated as an imperishable example of moral integrity. And even outside the Church, among those with responsibility for the destinies of peoples, he is acknowledged as a source of inspiration for a political system which has as its supreme goal the service of the human person."

For those who don't know the story of Thomas More, it is a classic case of a man in politics who put his conscience before the demands of his King. King Henry VIII wanted More to support his request to the Pope, to annul his marriage to Katherine of Aragon so he could marry Anne Boleyn, but More believed in the sanctity of marriage, and lost his head for his moral conviction!

Why is this appropriate at his point in time? Because, Obama has chosen a Senator who claims to be a Catholic who consistently has voted for abortion and partial birth abortion!!!
Obama handlers selected Senator Biden for the running mate to Obama to attract Catholics in November. But not unlike the election when John Kerry ran against George Bush. Catholics did not vote for the Professed Catholic who was also an abortion supporter. I believe Catholics will reject this ticket of DEATH", and I think all Christians and Jews who believe in the sanctity of life and the right to life will also reject this Democratic ticket in November.

OUR OWN FORM OF GENOCIDE

AMERICAS'S GENOCIDE MARCHES ON!!!





It is proper that we morn the death of almost 5,000 gallants warriors who have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. The deaths in Georgia this past week are also disturbing, as were the deaths due to Katrina, 9/11/01 and all the natural disasters that caused the loss of life.

But why are there so few who morn the loss of over one million unborn and partially born babies? Even the head of Planned Parenthood acknowledge that the baby in a mothers womb, where it should be the most protected place in the World, is a human being. But she said further, that we have a RIGHT to kill it!!!!

By a bizarre twist of logic and a unbelievable interpretation of the Bill of Rights. The USA Supreme Court has opened the doors to killing of the unborn and even the born, called partial birth for the sake of convenience.

Allowing abortion is not acceptable to me at anytime. There is the adoption option always available. That way so many would be parents would not have to go to foreign Country's to adopt a child!
I confess it is plausible that in the case of a life threatening condition to the mother's life, abortion is possibly the only option. But I have a problem even with this, because if a pregnant woman is shot and killed and her baby in her womb dies. The killer is charged with two murders!!
Try and explain this logic if you can. Most abortions are done for convenience. And it is appropriate that I include in this Blog a quote from a man of God, Father Corapi in this dialog.

political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the
powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of
Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they
should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF-EVIDENT, THAT ALL MEN ARE
CREATED EQUAL, THAT THEY ARE ENDOWED BY THEIR CREATOR WITH

The first and pre-eminent right is the right to life. This truth the Founding Fathers were
sure of, and anyone with any common sense at all is equally sure of it. 232 years after the
Declaration of Independence was signed the amount of common sense that seems to be
operative in many spheres of influence—most notably the courts and the political arena--
can easily be poured into a very small thimble.
The United States of America seems to have a death wish, and we have traveled far down
the road to having that wish realized.

Unfortunately the light that shows the way to righteousness seems to have been dimmed, and we are heading down the slippery slope to darkness

THE MAIN REASON I WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR OBAMA!

Being a Navy veteran, and a life long Republican who strayed from the fold only once. I voted fro JFK! I am afraid more than I dislike the Democrat candidate for President. He is a charming, well spoke, affable man who presents a fine image.
I cannot hate him because he is the most liberal in the Senate according to his voting record. I cannot hate him for his long time association with America hating racist, Rev. Wright. I cannot hate him for his past association with Weatherman Ayers, who wished he had blown up more of America, but still holds a professorship at a Chicago University. I cannot hate him because he calls the Catholic "priest" Pfleger a friend, even though this man should have been "de-frocked" long ago for his anti-Catholic pronouncements!
No, I cannot hate him, because he was born in the image and likeness of the God who created him and all the rest of us. I am a Catholic, and I must love my fellow man if I wish to gain the prize of everlasting happiness in the presence of God!

But I do border on hating him for his position on partial birth abortions. He voted against The Induced Birth Infant Liability Act while serving in the Illinois legislature in 2002.
The Bill was to extend the same medical care to babies who happen to survive an abortion attempt as is enjoyed by all babies born alive.
Not satisfied to allow a baby who has miraculously survived an abortion, to live. He used the argument that allowing rights to this live aborted baby would violate the Constitution!

In fact, when a similar measure-- the Born Alive Infant Protection Act-- was brought before the U.S. Senate, not one Senator voted against it. Even NARAL Pro-Choice America didn't oppose the bill.


Call me old fashioned and narrow minded , but It's difficult for me to not hate someone who's eager to extend an array of constitutional rights to terrorists(Guantanamo Bay), but who refuses to provide the most fundamental rights to the most vulnerable living, breathing new born infant.

Perhaps it's my failure to comprehend Obama's exquisite intellectual subtlety. Obama challenged the constitutionality of the bill,contending that conferring equal protection, i.e.,personhood, upon a "pre-viable fetus" would render the bill an unlawful anti-abortion statute. There is nothing "pre-viable about a baby from conception to birth, even if it was tried to be killed by America's Genocide, abortion!

At what point after birth does Obama call a baby a person and not a fetus? One day? Six months?

I have a hard time generating feelings of love or even respect for someone who voted against helping newborns struggling to live.
I suspect most people don't know about Obama's position on babies who survive abortion attempts and it's unlikely that they'll ever find out. The media seem more interested in reporting on the cultural implications, or the racial animus of those who question Obama's policies, and those of his wife. If more people knew about Obama's disregard for babies who have the will to survive an abortion, there would be more scrutiny and less "honeyed words"!
