Obama is a Ward Politician Masked as Presidential Caliber








Today's media-driven politics has eclipsed machine-driven politics, such as were prevalent in Chicago, Boston and New York in the 60's. This was obvious because It became increasingly difficult to get into homes and apartments to talk about candidates. High-rises were tough if not impossible to campaign, and other parts of cities had become too dangerous to walk around in for hours at a time.
Because people didn’t want to answer their doors, political candidate became increasing dependent on TV, radio, direct mail, phone-banking,and robocalls.

These new campaign methods cost a lot more money than patronage workers, who were themselves in decline,because of anti-patronage court rulings. Instead of a large army of ward heelers dragging people to the polls, candidates need a small army of donors to pay for commercials. Money replaced bodies as the currency of big city politics. This new system became known as “pinstripe patronage,” because the key to winning was not rewarding voters with jobs but rewarding donors with government contracts.All the more reason why this Country needs term limits for all elected positions. If it is good for the President. Why not for Senators and Congress persons?


E. J. Dionne, Jr., of the Washington Post, wrote about Obama's Change(aka), transition in a 1999 column after Daley was reelected. Dionne wrote about a young Barack Obama, who artfully explained how the new pinstripe patronage worked: a politician rewards the law firms, developers, and brokerage houses with contracts, and in return they pay for the new ad campaigns necessary for reelection. “They do well, and you get a $5 million to $10 million war chest,” Obama told Dionne. It was a classic Obamaism: superficially critical of some unseemly aspect of the political process without necessarily forswearing the practice itself. Obama was learning that one of the greatest skills a politician can possess is candor about the dirty work it takes to get and stay elected.

In a perfect example of the "Change" Obama's willing to make in his own positions to satisfy his thirst for power. During his U.S.Senate campaign, Mr. Obama joined in a “Walk for Israel” rally along Lake Michigan on Israel Solidarity Day. The Crowns and other Jewish leaders raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for him. Several days before the primary in 2004, some of his Jewish supporters took offense that Mr. Obama had not taken the opportunity on a campaign questionnaire to denounce Yasir Arafat, the leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization, or to strongly support Israel’s building of a security fence.
But in a sign of how far Mr. Obama had come in his coalition-building, friends from the American Israel Political Action Committee, the national pro-Israel lobbying group, helped him rush out a response to smooth over the flap.
In an e-mail message, Mr. Obama blamed a staff member for the oversight, and expressed the hope that “none of this has raised any questions on your part regarding my fundamental commitment to Israel’s security.” Mr.Ali Abunimah has written of running into the candidate around that time and has said that Mr. Obama told him: “I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping that when things calm down I can be more upfront.”

Abunimah emphasizes that no partition is ever going to be acceptable to a majority of Israelis and Palestinians (e.g., few Palestinians in the occupied territories would accept Israeli annexation of even the largest Israeli settlement villages
The Obama camp has denied Mr. Abunimah’s account. Mr. Khalidi, who is now the director of the Middle East Institute at Columbia University, said, “I’m unhappy about the positions he’s taken, but I can’t say I’m terribly disappointed.” He added: “People think he’s a saint. He’s not. He’s a politician.”


In another example of Obama tepid patriotism, was his reaction to the dastardly attack 9/11/01. It was luke warm at best. He conclude with words that betray his internationalist philosophy as apposed to a true patriot like McCain.
"We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.
We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad. We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle Eastern descent. Finally, we will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe—children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and within our own shores".source: The New Yorker

You will notice that there is not one word about religious zealotry or fanaticism in his explanation of why this attack happened!

Like many politicians, Obama is paradoxical. He is by nature an incrementalist, yet he has laid out an ambitious first-term agenda (energy independence, universal health care, withdrawal from Iraq). He campaigns on reforming a broken political process, yet he has always played politics by the rules as they exist, not as he would like them to exist. He runs as an outsider, but he has succeeded by mastering the inside game. He is ideologically a man of the left, but at times he has been genuinely deferential to core philosophical insights of the Right!

Another sign of Obama's deceptiveness is the way he has had a unwillingness to condemn the corruption scandals in Illinois, ensnaring Daley and Blagojevich, both of whom he supported for reelection. Do people want this man to be our president?

As I have written before, Obama changes positions more than a Chameleon changes color depending on it's environment. Apparently, the change he was calling foreign his campaign slogan, was not for Washington politics, but for his primary campaign positions. Abortion, gun control, capital punishment, FISA laws, the status of Jerusalem, faith-based federal programs, public financing of his campaign, welfare, NAFTA and free trade, and his commitment to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his Trinity Church all have fallen to reconsideration, rephrasing, changed rhetorical modulation, and other semantic miracles. source : Tony Blankley

As a conservative, of course, I like all his changed views except for the fact that I believe he is insincere. and doesn't believe his current statements of principle any more than he believed his previous positions he used in the primary.

H.L. Mencken defined a demagogue as “one who preaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots." It is not surprising that the youth is particularly enchanted by the senator from Illinois. Being young, they are inexperienced in the ways of the world, and subject to flights of fantasy and promises of better times! Obama and his handlers know just the right formula to spin what ever audience he is speaking to, but only a fool would believe a man who means what he says could change positions and policies as often as he changes his underwear!

But as Tony Blankley said in the Patriot Post; " When you are invited to a new poker game and look around the table for the pigeon but can't spot him, you're the pigeon".Our we the pigeon in Obama's political shell game?

They will need all our prayers if Senator "flip-flop" gets elected in November! TODAY,In Fargo North Dakota, Obama made another verbal move to the center of the political spectrum. With his extreme left of center voting record, and his promises to the anti-war zealots,that allowed him to defeat the anointed favorite, Hillary Clinton. Obama's handlers have tacked to the right on Iraq to try to court those of us who believe withdrawal would lead to genocide in Iraq. Obama opened the door Thursday to altering his plan to bring U.S. troops home from Iraq immediately after his election, as he repeatedly promised during the campaign. He said in Fargo, that based based upon what he hears from military commanders during his upcoming trip to Iraq, he will reformulate his withdrawal plans. This is just one more "flip-flop" Obama has made since garnering the magic number of electoral delegates to almost guarantee his nomination, in Denver, on the first ballot. Alex Conant had this comment about the most recent "flip-flop". "There appears to be no issue that Barack Obama is not willing to reverse himself on for the sake of political expedience,Obama's Iraq problem undermines the central premise of his candidacy and shows him to be a typical politician." Conant is a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, but he is saying what many Americans must be asking themselves. "How much is Obama willing to betray those who got him to where he is today, and how much can we trust him to not betray us all for his personal agenda? This is a question that needs answering!

Obama's Position Ignores the Cost to Tax Payers

Barack Obama gave a seech yesterday at Hocking College in Ohio, during which he staked out his position on same sex marriage, abortion and the home mortgage crisis. For this his plan is to use $10 billion to establish a home mortgage fund, and the tax payers tab keeps mounting every time he speaks

His position on troop withdrawal has not changed since he voted in the U.S. Senate against the original bill authorizing the invasion of Iraq. Nor has his position on same sex marriage and his position on abortion. He is for all three!

He is viewed by many as the political equivalent of the Messiah who will change everything that is perceived as wrong in Washington and the Country.
The act he is playing has denigrated to using selected partial quotations from the Bible to support his positions.

Sunday he used a portion of the Sermon On The Mount by Jesus to make his point that we should recognize same sex marriages. He left out the parts that condemn sexual acts outside of marriage conveniently.

The Sermon, recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, includes the Lord's Prayer, the Beatitudes, an endorsement of scriptural moral commandments ("anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven"), and condemnations of murder, divorce and adultery. It also includes a warning: "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves."

When questioned about his same sex marriage position being contrary to Saint Paul's epistle St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans, Obama dismissed it as "obscure."

The Epistle discusses people who knew God but turned against him."They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised," wrote St. Paul. "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

If you are an agnostic, nihilist or an atheist the biblical quotes mean nothing to you. However, in this speech Obama was proclaiming himself as a long time practicing Christian.
When a member of the Illinois legislature he repeatedly opposed a bill that would have defined as a "person" a baby who had survived an induced-labor abortion and was born alive.

On the topic of abortion, Obama said his support for keeping it legal does not trespass on his Christian faith."I think that the bottom line is that in the end, I think women, in consultation with their pastors, and their doctors, and their family, are in a better position to make these decisions than some bureaucrat in Washington". He conveniently ignores God's fifth Commandment, "tho Shall Not Kill".

In the end these matters are for the voters to decide if they want him to be President, an for his own conscience. But there is the large matter of tax payers dollars being given in the form of grants to abortion supporting and performing organisations.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has spent tens of millions of U.S. tax dollars to promote so-called "reproductive rights" programs in Third World countries.
In 2006 USAID spent $371,249,000.00 - all of it tax dollars - for "reproductive health" programs. That's code for abortion, sterilization, contraception and other population control programs.
Making this situation even more desperate, USAID has joined forces with the world's foremost proponent of abortion, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
And Planned Parenthood's own "research" organization, the Guttmacher Institute, confirms the fact that it is your tax dollars that are funding the world's "population control" movement. source:CNSnews.com
